Very similar to Batch 3 with a slightly richer nose and a touch more vanilla and a pleasant heat.
Forgan Corn Whiskey is made from locally grown corn fermented in Scottish highland mineral water with sugar and yeast.
This is a bourbon style whiskey made with 98% corn to a traditional American recipe given to me by a friend John, a ranch owner in West Virginia near the Appalachian Mountains.
The corn is fermented for 3 - 4 weeks before being cleared and then distilled to create 93%ABV "moonshine" or "white-dog", it's then watered down to the required strength with the highland mineral water before being barreled in charred virgin American white oak for aging.
All the colour and flavour - typically vanilla and caramel notes - comes from the wood, we don't add any flavourings or colours, it's all natural from the wood, there's some sweetness from the corn which varies from batch to batch.
Strength is around 50%ABV, it does vary from batch to batch. All bottles are numbered, typically a batch is around 28 bottles, if there's a special number you want I'll try to accommodate but it's first come first served. Bottle 1 of each batch is available to bidders should you be interested.
