THE RUM
When it comes to good rum, we prefer to stick to the old adage that you shouldn’t fix what isn’t broken. That’s why we have used a traditional recipe, with a slightly modern twist on our Forgan 46 Dark Rum. Individually hand numbered, and limited to a several dozen bottles per batch, this rum is top quality and unique, the perfect gift for any rum enthusiast!
A little bit lighter, mild and smooth, this batch has a pleasant hit of treacle, followed by the sweetness of the caramelised sugars and an underlying hint of dark chocolate and liquorice at the end of the palate. There's some warmth and pleasant kick, so if you want something daringly different you'll find this rum very entertaining.
THE FINE PRINT
We ferment molasses for up to 6 weeks before distilling it and using our very own special and unique blend of hand made caramel to sweeten it and give it a fabulous delicious flavour with hints of treacle and dark chocolate. We then go on to age it in barrels previously used for our amazing Forgan 48 Corn Spirit to give you an unusually amazing depth of taste and added aroma with a hint of dark chocolate.
